HOW TO NOT DO NATURALISM
Make a playtext your own with this exciting, unique workshop on how and why to challenge naturalism. With physical theatre, surrealism and cinematic techniques, scripts can be interpreted in a variety of weird and wonderful ways. This workshop will help you tap into how to approach blurring the naturalism lines.
Suitable for: all theatre makers - can be done with reference to specific texts, to inform ongoing productions or with stimulus material provided by Clown Funeral.
BLENDING PHYSICAL THEATRES
In contemporary devising, being well-versed in one particular style is often not enough. Clown Funeral showcases how practitioners can merge a variety of practices, including: ensemble work, clowning, contemporary dance and stage fighting, in order to create innovative and exciting theatre.
Suitable for: Theatre-makers interested in attaining a grounding in contemporary physical theatre, or those who have some training in physical theatre styles but struggle to apply this to devising and new writing in practice.
