WHO EVEN ARE YOU?

Clown Funeral is a theatre company based in the West Midlands. Combining devising, new writing and physical theatre, we devise darkly comic shows exploring human corners of inhuman worlds.

We met at the University of Warwick, and founded Clown Funeral in September 2014. Since then we have created a series of radio plays and produced five full theatre shows, including three national touring shows, with ‘A Pattern of Bad Behaviour’ being our sixth.

We've performed in venues such as HOME Manchester, the New Diorama Theatre, and Pegasus Theatre in Oxford. We've been to several festivals, including the Edinburgh Fringe, INCOMING Festival and Vault.

We also have a background in theatre and education; our members have roles all across the country educating children and adults in various forms of theatre. We Produced and curated the inaugural Walsall Youth Arts Festival 2018 with Walsall Deaf Centre and Ormiston Shelfield Academy, as well as running an educational workshops programme.
